On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the Nchum Cooperative Credit Union (NCCU Ltd) was officially launched at its pioneer office located opposite the Ntarikon Main Market. This historic event marked a new chapter of financial empowerment and self-reliance for the people of Nchum and beyond.

The launching ceremony took place in a calm, uplifting atmosphere and was met with remarkable enthusiasm from community members, many of whom opened accounts on the spot.. From vibrant animations to engaging interviews and financial education sessions, the occasion demonstrated the community’s readiness for sustainable economic growth through cooperative banking.

NCCU Ltd was born from a shared vision: to provide accessible, member-owned financial services that uplift individuals and families, support small businesses, and fuel local development. With a dedicated Board of Directors, experienced leadership, and the backing of a motivated membership, NCCU is positioned to become a reliable pillar for savings, loans, and community progress.
